While not everyone needs an expensive data plan you can’t avoid and shouldn’t avoid Verizon Data Plans for Palm Pre Plus. What good is smartphone if you can’t access emails and Internet all the time? In fact, like all 3G smartphones on Verizon Wireless, a data plan is required for the Palm Pre Plus. Unless you buy it at retail price (totally not worth it), and find Wi-Fi hotspots to get data access.
Just a little advice from my own experience, it’s much easier to add new features to your current plans than taking them off. Unless you are so sure on how much voice minutes and texts you are going to use, do start with the minimum 450-minute $39.99 voice plan and then add on the $29.99 Verizon data plan and other messaging plans on top of it. Yeah, we know, $69.99 is basically the minimum plan you can get for the Pre Plus. But being able to connect with friends and family instantly via Facebook, Twitter, and text is priceless, right?

I am acquainted with someone who has the following plan, and it is what I want.
UNLIMITED DATA (PHONE IS USED TO REPLACE AIR CARD FOR COMPUTER)
500 TEXTS
700 NATIONWIDE MINUTES
2 PHONES
They pay $109/mth.
Also, how much is a basic land line and dsl?
Thanks
PS: 1. Does a call marked INCOMING on my bill mean I am getting charged for minutes?
2. My bill is showing a roughly 45 minute call I made on Sunday, May 9. Will I be charged for these minutes.
