Well the rumor that has been go round last week is almost true. Will HTC buy Palm? So what is the future of Palm as it’s preparing to sell itself to another company? Who have the extra money to burn? HTC, RIM, Lenovo, Google, or whoever may be interested? WebOS is a great product and certainly beats many other smartphones in the market today, but there is a long way to catch up. For those potential buyer that already have their own OS like RIM and Google, I don’t think it’s a good idea to mix WebOS with Android or Blackberry. HTC and Lenovo seem to be the right candidates to take the WebOS to the next level. HTC is a better suitor in my opinion. Will HTC buy Palm? If HTC can put WebOS on every Google Phone and Windows Mobile hardware - the WebOS can dominate again. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
